Section 48
Offenses related to obstruction and use of criminal force
If any of the following acts are committed, it shall be considered as an offense related to obstruction and use of criminal force:-
(a) If he is involved in any riot, quarrel, scuffle or beating, even if he is an officer of lower rank than him, if he disobeys the order given to arrest him or if he attacks the officer who ordered such arrest or if he uses criminal force on him,
(b) If the person in custody assaults or uses force while in custody of a person in accordance with the law, regardless of whether or not he is within the jurisdiction of this Act, or whether he is a superior officer or not,
(c) obstructs any person or escort whose duty it is to arrest or take charge of you,
(d) obstructing the work of the chief of military police or any person lawfully acting on his behalf or refusing to assist him in the performance of his duties,
(e) Attacking or using criminal force on any person bringing goods or logistics on behalf of the Nepali Army.
